The Black Velvet Band are having another Hoolie!
A what?...
A 'Hoolie', a kinda 'Shindig'... Eh?.....
If you have ever been to a Ceilidh (kay-lee) at an Irish or Scottish wedding or a Barn / Bush dance, this is the sort of thing you may have seen.

The Black Velvet Band's extended line up plays a night of jigs, reels, polkas (in our good old stomping style) and we have a 'Caller' who talks you through set dance moves in groups (lots of throwing each other around, no experience necessary).
The Hoolie is on Sun 6th December 4pm 'til 8 pm at the Deaf Society Hall in Amagh St (opposite Media club / Centennial pool).
Christmas themed so feel free to dress accordingly.
Tickets are $20 inc. light supper. (BYO booze)
Tickets will be strictly limited so get in fast!

We are very proud to announce we are headlining NY Eve in Cathedral Square, Christchurch. 2009 /10 from 10.45pm. lets rock!
NEW RECORDING
A recording session is planned for December with a CD release planned for March 2010.
